Turquoise Thursday - Gift Receiving

Lucky girl

Last weekend the Boy's family surprised me with some gifts. They have quickly figured out I like turquoise (wonder what gave them that idea!) The Boy's sister had a belated Christmas gift for me, and she did fantastic.

These three turquoise terracotta pots are from Anthropologie. It's a good thing there isn't a store close to me otherwise my bank account me be a little thinner. Now I need to figure out where I am going to put them, or ideas on how to use them. Suggestions?

I wasn't able to get a picture yet of what the Boy's parents got me. They are equally awesome, so stay tuned!

Cowhide Ottoman - Crystal's Favorite Things

A Month to Go!

Today is officially the beginning of my birthday month. So in celebration I'm going to do a list of my favorite finds. Some are on my birthday list, and some are on my dream birthday wish list. Like someone would have to probably save up for the next 10 birthdays for this item.

I'll two please.
These cowhide ottomans are absolutely goregous! Actually there are lots of goregous things at Saddleman's of Santa Fe, including their metallic cowhide rugs. I would take on of those too!

Junk in the Trunk - Turquoise Thursday

Drool

I should not be allowed to browse Lone Star Western Decor. Not only do they have another set of amazing bar stools I've had my eye on they also sell this gorgeous, ridiculously expensive turquoise trunk bench. Thanks to Dirt Road Dreamer for reminding me about this wonderful piece.

And I think this turquoise bench is quite wonderful too.

Cowhide - Crystal's Favorite Things

Awesome.

Now I realize that this may verge on the edge of craziness, but how great would it be to have this bathroom.

Genius. The Cowhide Bathroom.

Definitely worthy of being apart of Crystal's Favorite Things Birthday Countdown, which we are getting closer to the finale.

p.s. Now I will admit that I am a bad blogger and can't remember what blog I found this picture on. If you know anything about a bathroom like this let me know!

Turquoise Wood Furniture

Good night, sleep tight.

I love it when I get blogging suggestions from my readers and this was a good one. Michael Plate, MDP Woodworks, sent me these pictures last night of night stand his wife finished for a customer.

Isn't it pretty.

And I love the details on the drawer pulls. I don't think I have ever seen anything like them before.

You'll have to check out Michael's website to see all of their beautiful custom woodworking pieces. And I can quickly see that they are great cattlemen with comments like this on their website

It’s been tough to stay in the shop lately, we are deep into our Fall calving season, and it can be quite demanding! But I have been able to get this Humidor done in the past two weeks. A close friend of my son has developed an interest in cigars and needed a humidor. And before my son left for college he asked if I could build it for his buddy. And since I have never developed an ability to say no to my kid, of course I would. (I would have done it anyway because his friend is a good one too!) So in between trips to the pasture, I got started.

Turquoise Leather

It's Thursday!

That means, A. yesterday was Wednesday, B. one more day to the weekend, C. I leave for San Antonio today, D. It's time for more turquoise, let's go with E. All of the above.

*WARNING* Don't look at the prices. You may have a heart attack.

I found this turquoise leather chair, but it's no longer available. So we'll just have to pretend how good it would look in our homes.

However, this one is probably better anyways. I mean we are talking turquoise and cowhide. I think I would finish the two books I am reading Click (it's awesome) and Black Heels to Tractor Wheels (The Pioneer Woman's book) rather quickly if I could sit in a chair like that.

And why not one more option for good measure. I mean you might want to sit by your friend. My friend Anna at Life Be Delicious was inspired to start her own Turquoise Thursday and featured these King Ranch turquoise chairs on her blog a couple weeks ago. Awesome is the word I use here.

Also, I must mention that I did get a couple things for my birthday that were apart of my Turquoise Thursday blogs. I know many of you in your birthday wishes said that you hoped I my day would be filled with turquoise. Happy Thursday!
